Record low set Friday in Quinte

By Paul Martin Dec 5, 2025 | 5:29 AM

A frosty start to Friday has already set a new record in Quinte.

The cold snap overnight saw us reach minus 18.2 degrees in the one o’clock hour (as measured at the weather office at CFB Trenton).

That broke the previous record low for December the 5th of minus 17.9 set on this date in 2007.

We did not set a record on Thursday.

It reached a low of minus 18.3 degrees, far short of the record of minus 23.3 set on December the 4th way back in 1940.
