Lennox and Addington County members of the OPP have charged a person with impaired driving following a collision on Bath Road in Loyalist Township on Tuesday.

Just after 10:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members were advised of a collision involving a possible impaired driver that reportedly went into water on Bath Road in the area of County Road 4 in Loyalist Township.

Police attended the location and following an investigation, one involved driver was arrested and then taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Kendal Atkin, 29, from Toronto, was charged with driving while impaired by drugs.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 13, 2026.

Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
