The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board is showing growth in younger grades in the recent EQAO assessments.
In a media release, ALCDSB officials say reading, writing, and math results in both Grade 3 and Grade 6 have improved from the previous year.
They stated this improvement reflects the dedication and hard work of educators, students, and families, as well as the impact of targeted programs across the Board, such as the Math Action Plan and the Science of Reading.
In addition, Grade 9 Math and Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test scores have remained consistent with last year’s numbers, demonstrating ongoing stability and commitment to student achievement at the secondary level.
“These results are a testament to the collaborative efforts within our school communities and our continued focus on academic excellence,” stated Sonya Melim, Superintendent of Education.
“We are happy to celebrate these results and are aware there is still room to grow and focus on supporting every learner.”
