An oft-scrutinized port service in Prince Edward County will take the spotlight on Tuesday night.
A delegation and councillor resolution is coming to County Council concerning reported defiance of a 2018 judgment to cease activity at Picton Terminals.
This includes stockpiling aggregate and excavating pits on the Sophiasburgh portion of the property on White Chapel Road.
Councillor John Hirsch’s resolution requests an investigation of the state of that part of the property, as well as information from the Ministry of Natural Resources regarding operations on the site.
Other items of note on the PEC Council agenda include two delegations on a Wellington Town Hall Foundation proposal and the approval of a GMC pumper truck from County Fire to go to the Hastings and Prince Edward Mutual Fire Aid Training Complex in memory of late firefighter Jim Young.
Council meets at 7 p.m. at Shire Hall.
