Port Hope Police Service seeking dashcam footage of impaired driving investigation on Hwy 401

The Port Hope Police Service is providing a further update to the impaired driving investigation that occurred on Dec 18, 2025, involving a heavily damaged vehicle located in the Toronto Road carpool lot.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have been travelling on Highway 401 during the time of the incident and who has dashcam footage that may be relevant to this occurance to please submit it for review. The investigators are looking for a red pickup truck driving dangerously.

Dashcam footage can be securely uploaded using the provided online submission link.

The Port Hope Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police continue to work collaboratively on this investigation. Any video footage, no matter how brief, may assist investigators in confirming timelines and vehicle movements.
