Quinte West Solutions is bidding farewell after more than three decades by issuing $1.5 million in municipal rebates this month.
The organization, which is closing down Dec. 31, announced at the Centre and South Hastings Waste Services Board that Quinte Waste Solutions will disperse net proceeds of a property closure to its nine member municipalities as follows;

Tyendinaga $28,920.03

The Centre and South Hastings Waste Services Board, which owns and operates Quinte Waste Solutions, are in the process of selling the property located at 270 West Street in Quinte West.
General Manager Bill Sandison reiterated that Quinte Waste Solutions and its operations will close as a result of the shift in Blue Box responsibility to producers and the contracting out of Hazardous and Electronic Waste collection service to GFL Environmental Services commencing January 1, 2026.
