Strong winds on the way this week

By Brock Ormond Nov 25, 2025 | 4:21 PM

Quinte residents should brace for strong winds in the forecast the next couple of days.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, saying strong wind gusts could reach up to 80 or 90 kilometres an hour, starting late Wednesday afternoon into Thursday afternoon.

The weather agency says local outages may be possible and residents are urged to protect loose objects outside.

It also warns high-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind.
