Quinte West stays below last year’s building totals year-to-date

Quinte West continues to trend below last year’s building numbers at this point in 2025.

The City’s building report for October listed 48 permits issued at a construction value of $5.4 million.

The biggest permit given out last month was to a new business at the Trenton Plaza on 17512-17518 Highway 2 at a value of $1.7 million.

Year-to-date, Quinte West’s building department has handed out 481 permits at a cost of $120.4 million, lower than the 534 for $168.6 million recorded through the first 10 months of 2024.
