Operation Red Nose returns for holiday season starting Friday

By Brock Ormond Nov 27, 2025 | 4:03 PM

The Operation Red Nose Quinte road safety campaign is officially back for its 20th year in the Belleville/Quinte region Friday evening.

Volunteer teams will be available to offer safe rides to those who choose a responsible way to get home during the holidays, all in good cheer.

The service will be available until December 31st, thanks to assistance from dedicated volunteers.

Since 1984, Operation Red Nose has contributed to making Canadian roads safer while supporting local youth and amateur sports initiatives.

Across Canada, more than 2.4 million rides have been provided over the years, thanks to the involvement of 1.7 million volunteers and the generosity of the population.

As the holiday season begins, Operation Red Nose encourages everyone to always plan a safe ride home with care, responsibility, and solidarity.

If you need a safe ride home this holiday season, call Operation Red Nose Quinte from 8 p.m. with the last call being at 1:00am.
