Hastings – Lennox and Addington – Tyendinaga MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman says it’s time to turn the page and make Canada more affordable for everyone.
Kramp-Neuman voted against the federal budget last night. It passed by a final tally of 170-168, with two Conservatives and two NDP abstaining.
Kramp-Neuman provided the following statement to our newsroom as her reaction to the passage of the budget.
“Last night’s credit-card budget adds more debt at a time when many families are already doing everything they can to keep up. Canadians deserve a plan that reflects everyday realities and the challenges people are facing. Minority parliaments have the potential to be productive so let’s turn the page and continue to focus on solutions that strengthen communities, build real momentum and give people confidence in a more affordable, resilient future.”
