Human remains identified in Smiths Falls

Human remains located on a property in Montague Township have been identified as a missing Smiths Falls resident.

On Thursday, October 30, OPP officers executing a search warrant at a residence on Kelly Jordan Road located human remains on the property.

The postmortem examination confirmed that the remains are those of Robbie Thomson, who was reported missing in October 2023.

On Wednesday, October 29, three people, including one individual from Kingston were arrested and charged with first degree murder in connection with the disappearance and death Thomson.

The accused individuals remain in custody and were scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Wednesday.
