Fare changes to be discussed as part of revisions to PEC Taxi By-law

By Paul Martin Nov 24, 2025 | 8:35 AM

Fares could be changing as Prince Edward County Council considers the municipality’s Taxi By-law on Tuesday night.

Council will receive a report from staff and also an updated schedule of fees.

It has been several years since there has been a comprehensive review of taxi fares in the County.

Staff met with local Taxi operators on November 17, 2025 to review the proposed Taxi Fare Schedule.

While it was agreed that some fares should be reduced and others should remain unchanged, most of the fares on the revised Schedule have been increased.
