Emergency road closure in Carrying Place

By Brock Ormond Nov 3, 2025 | 3:57 PM

Not a whole lot of detail is known about an emergency road closure on County Road 64 in Carrying Place.

A resident has told InQuinte.ca the closure has blocked off where the new subdivision in that area is.

People in that area should do their best to avoid the road closure for the time being.

Quinte West communications officials stated in an update before 5 p.m. Monday that the closure is not a result of work being undertaken by the city and the city has not issued official notices on the closure.

No further details are available on what has caused the closure.
