Artichuk wins second player of the month award of season

Taeo Artichuk is a OJHL East Conference Player of the Month twice over.

The 20-year-old forward was named the winner of the October award after posting 22 points (13 goals, 9 assists) in only nine games last month.

That followed a 20-point month of September to help him pace all Golden Hawks scorers.

His 13 goals included hat tricks against Milton (Oct. 10) and Pickering (Oct. 24).

In his third season with the defending OJHL champion Golden Hawks, the 20-year-old from Ajax is in second place in the OJHL scoring race with 42 points (20 goals/ 22 assists) from 19 regular season games. He has scored five shorthanded goals and four on the power play.

A second-round pick (21st overall) of the Erie Otters in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection, Artichuk played two-plus seasons with the Otters before signing in Trenton.
