All Candidates Night on Monday for Tyendinaga Mohawk Council election

The candidates for the election for Tyendinaga Mohawk Council will gather to square off on Monday night.

A special All Candidates Night is being held at the Mohawk Community Centre on York Road from 7 to 10 pm.

They have changed the original format and questions will now be heard at today’s meeting after opening statements and a brief break.

The two candidates for Chief are R. Donald Maracle (incumbent) and Andrew Miracle.

There are also 16 candidates for the six seats on Council.

Election day in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory is December 6th.
