Year-over-year construction still behind in QW

Construction in Quinte West continues to be behind to this point in the year.

Despite higher number of permits compared to September at 45, construction value was reported at $ 6.3 million.

In September 2024, only 36 permits were granted but they were worth $12.8 million in construction.

Year-to-date figures through the end of September show 433 permits issued with a value of $114.9 million.

That compared to last year, is lower than the 455 permits worth $145.2 through the first nine months of last year.

A breakdown of permits over $50,000 is below.
