Small Business Week has arrived in Quinte.

A kickoff event was held at the Nourish Restaurant inside Loyalist College, featuring remarks from CEOs of Belleville and Quinte West’s Chambers of Commerce Jill Raycroft and Suzanne Andrews and the Business Development Bank of Canada’s Veronique Dorval.

In part, they discussed how and why small businesses are at the forefront of a ‘seismic shift’ in Canada’s business landscape and how business owners can navigate change in a fast-moving economy.

Also in attendance was Prince Edward County Chamber CEO Duarte Da Silva, Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison and council representatives, as well as a representative of MPP Tyler Allsopp’s office and MP Chris Malette.

Lennox and Addington MPP Ric Bresee also brought greetings via video.
