The Quinte Museum of Natural History has officially opened Rocks Revealed, a new exhibit exploring the geology of our region and beyond. The launch coincided with Doors Open Quinte West, where hundreds of visitors got the first look at the exhibit.

Rocks Revealed highlights striking mineral specimens, the Canadian Shield’s deep history, and the role geology plays in shaping our landscapes and lives. The exhibit also features interactive elements designed to inspire curiosity in visitors of all ages.

“Geology is the foundation of natural history,” said Deanna Way, Executive Director. “Through Rocks Revealed, visitors can discover how the land beneath us was formed and why understanding our geological past is key to shaping our future.”

The exhibit was developed with support from dedicated partners, and volunteers, reflecting the Museum’s commitment to community collaboration and accessible science education.

Rocks Revealed is now open to the public. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 per person, with free entry for children 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at quintemuseum.ca or at the door.
