PJHL Recap: Raiders, Jets pull out close victories

Two close games in the PJHL on Friday night, with the two most local teams splitting their decisions.

The Napanee Raiders edged the Port Hope Panthers 3-2, with Mason Goodfellow’s first goal as a Raider 4:27 into the third standing as the game-winner.

Ryan McGee and Ben Kerr also tallied for Napanee and Jacob Brown made 20 saves in helping to holding off a late Port Hope rally.

Meanwhile in Trent Hills, the Thunder dropped a 3-2 contest to the Amherstview Jets.

Kieren Ellis and Matthew Hinan notched the Thunder’s goals. Christian Lambert stopped 33 shots.

Saturday in the PJHL Tod Division, the Picton Pirates are in Port Hope at 7:30 p.m.
