A 32-year-old Prince Edward County male faces charges after an investigation into the making and sharing of images featuring child sexual exploitation.

Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Prince Edward County OPP Crime Unit began an investigation earlier this year.

It was reported that an individual had been showing inappropriate images to young people. As part of the investigation, a search warrant was executed, and electronic devices were seized for expert examination.

On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the male was arrested and charged with:

Makes, prints or publishes, or possession for the purpose of publication of any child sexual abuse or exploitation material
Possession of child sexual abuse or exploitation material

The name of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victims.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in November.
