New utility poles to be installed along Bridge St W in Belleville

By Hailey MacDonald Oct 18, 2025 | 6:24 AM

New utility poles will be installed along Bridge St W between Dunnett Blvd and Ritchie Ave beginning next week.

There will be temporary sidewalk/pathway closures while the work is completed. One sideway/pathway will remain open at all times. This work is expected to take approximately four weeks.

This is preparatory work for the widening of Bridge St W from Dunnett Blvd to Ritchie Ave, which is part of the Avonlough Sewage Pumping Station project.

Please note that some of the new poles will be installed in the middle of the existing asphalt path on the north side of Bridge St W.

These poles will remain like this over the winter and an accessible path will be added around them.
