Death of inmate reported at Joyceville Institution

A 39-year-old inmate has died at Joyceville Institution.

Yohanna Chol was reported to have died at the medium-security prison and a cause has not been determined.

The inmate had been serving a life sentence since February 27 of this year.

A quality-of-care review will be conducted to examine the facts surrounding the offender’s death, and the cause of death will be determined by the Coroner.
