By Hailey MacDonald Oct 4, 2025 | 7:47 AM

Planned watermain and sanitary sewer connection work at 192 Wellington Main St will occur next week.

Construction will take place between Monday, Oct 6 and Thursday, Oct 9 starting at approximately 7am and continuing until 7pm each day.

Throughout this time, east-bound and west-bound traffic near 192 Wellington Main St will be intermittently reduced to one lane, including for overnight periods. Traffic control will be in place. Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated while work is taking place. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area, take alternate routes where possible, and plan for additional travel time during commutes.

Work is not expected to impact water quality; however, residents on Wellingotn Main St between 198 Wellington Main St and 219 Wellington Main St and residents on Beach St may experience temporary loss of water service, intermittent pressure fluctuations, and coloured water on Wednesday, Oct 8. The water remains safe to drink during the duration of construction. Affected residents will receive a hand-delivered notice of this water disruption.
