Chargers pulls off doubleheader sweep, Eastside wins first game of BOQ Football season

There was more exciting action from Week 4 football on the Bay of Quinte.

Tuesday, October 7 

The Bayside Red Devils hosted the Centennial Chargers in a doubleheader on a rainy, soggy afternoon.

In the Senior game at 1:00 pm, the Chargers powered their way to a 49-7 victory, improving to 4-0 on the season.

The Junior game followed at 3:00 pm, with the Chargers continuing their strong start, defeating the Red Devils 29-14 to move to 3-0.

Despite the weather, it was a fun and spirited day of football!

Thursday, October 9 

The Eastside Ravens welcomed the Trenton Tigers to the Raven’s Nest. Trenton put in a strong first-half effort, keeping things close, but Eastside pulled away in the second half for a 35-6 win—their first of the season.

Standings After Week 4

Junior Division

Centennial Chargers: 3-0

Bayside Red Devils: 2-1

Eastside Ravens: 0-3

Senior Division

Centennial Chargers: 4-0

Bayside Red Devils: 3-1

Eastside Ravens: 1-3

Trenton Varsity Tigers: 0-4

Week 5 Action

Wednesday, October 15 – Bayside Red Devils host the Eastside Ravens (1:00 pm Seniors, 3:00 pm Juniors).

Thursday, October 16 – Trenton Tigers visit the Centennial Chargers (12:00 noon kickoff).
