Belleville selects vendor for 2026 municipal election voting equipment

Belleville City Council has approved a 2026 pre-budget allocation of $142,400 for the rental of voting system equipment for the upcoming municipal election.

In March, the city issued a procurement call for internet and telephone voting systems, as well as vote tabulators for paper ballots.

According to a report from City Clerk Doug Irwin, staff evaluated multiple submissions and determined that the highest-ranked proposal came from Neuvote Systems Inc. The company submitted a proposal covering both the internet and telephone voting system and the vote tabulators.

The total net cost to the City of Belleville will be $142,321.54, which will be funded through the city’s Election Reserve Fund.
