Athlete of the Week: Benjamin Villeneuve

By Hailey MacDonald Oct 17, 2025 | 8:02 AM

Congratulations to Benjamin Villeneuve, the Athlete of the Week!

Sport – Hockey

Team Name (if applicable) – U14AA Belleville Bulls

Ben has faced adversity as a small hockey player. He is much smaller than the rest of his teammates, but he has not let that stop him. Ben works incredibly hard on and off the ice. He has strong leadership, is a caring teammate, and spends countless hours trying to be the best hockey player through skills & drills. Ben knows he’s smaller than most, but his mindset is “it’s not how big you are, but how big you play”.

Ben was nominated by his mom Ashley Shier.

Nominate your athlete at www.cool100.ca or www.hits955.ca. Tell us their story and why they deserve the spotlight. We’ll feature them on air on Cool 100 and Hits 955, on our socials, and on InQuinte.ca!
