United Way Hastings & Prince Edward’s ‘Ultimate Burger Battle’ is back and 2025 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet.

November 1st, 2025 marks the kickoff for United Way Hastings & Prince Edward’s tastiest campaign which combines the power of food with the power of giving back. Local eateries are once again dreaming up a unique burger creation to feature throughout the month in a friendly battle of the burgers. At the end of November, one of the spectacular burger creations will emerge victorious as United Way HPE’s Ultimate Burger of the Year, as voted by Ultimate Burger Ambassadors.

“We’re beyond excited to work alongside a passionate group of restaraunt partners this year who have brought so much enthusiasm to the event,” said Brandi Hodge, Executive Director, United Way Hastings & Prince Edward.

“We’re grateful to each restauraunt for their incredible support and can’t wait to see what our community thinks of the unique creations being featured this year.”

A total of 11 restaurants from Belleville, Trenton, and Prince Edward County are participating in this year’s ‘Ultimate Burger Battle’. Throughout the month, each location is graciously donating $2 from every speciality ‘Ultimate Burger’ sold towards United Way HPE’s annual fundraising campaign.

“We are proud to be back for another year with our exciting burger creation. We of course hope to keep our winning streak alive as last year’s ‘Ultimate Burger of the Year’ champions, but at the end of the day, the rea; winner is United Way and the important programs supported through this event,” said Hiban Mohammed, Owner, BBoys The Burger Architects.

“Good luck to all the restaurants and don’t forget to cast your vote for People’s Choice.”

Burger Ambassadors will be visiting participating locations to taste unique burger creations prior to casting their vote to determine this year’s ‘Ultimate Burger’ title winner. The restaurant who sells the most will win the title of ‘Most Burgers Sold’.

Community members are also invited to visit participating locations to vote online for their favourite ‘Ultimate Burger’ creation. At the end of the month, the top three burgers with the most Community Votes will be crowned the ‘People’s Choice’ winners. Participants can follow along with their Ultimate Burger Battle Passport –  those who try five or more can submit their passport for a chance to win a gift card to the restaurant who is crowned the 2025 ‘Ultimate Burger of the Year’ as voted by Burger Ambassadors.
