Changes to services in Quinte for Thanksgiving weekend

There will be some service changes and closures for the Thanksgiving weekend in the Quinte region.

BELLEVILLE:

Belleville City Hall, Leaf & Yard Waste Depot, Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, Glanmore National Historic Site, Belleville Public Library, Quinte Mall, and Community Archives will be closed on Oct 13.

Regular transit and mobility transit will not run on Oct 13.

The Hazardous and Electronic Waste Depot will be closed on Oct 11.

There will be no changes to the regular public hours for the Thurlow Landfill.

There will be no changes to curbside garbage, green bin, or bulky items collection.

PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY:

The County of Prince Edward municipal offices will be closed on Oct 13. They will reopen on Tuesday, Oct 14 at 8:30am.

Curbside garbage, green bin, and recycling pickup service will occur according to the regular schedule.

The Wellington and District Communiy Centre, the Prince Edward Community Centre, and Community Halls will be closed on Oct 13. Regular programming is scheduled on Oct 11 & 12.

County Transit will not operate on Oct 13.

The County Museums will have varying operational hours on Thanksgiving Weekend. Mariners Park Museum will be hosting a special event on Oct 11 at 7pm with South Shore Joint Initiative. The Scarecrow Festival will take place at Macaulay Heritage Park on Oct 11 and 12 from 11am to 4pm. Macaulay Heritage Park will be closed on Oct 13. Ameliasburgh Heritage Village and Wellington Heritage Museum will be open for regular operating hours on Oct 11 from 1pm to 4pm. Both sites will be closed Oct 12 and 13.

QUINTE WEST:

Quinte West City Hall, the Frankford Municipal Office, and the Frankford Landfill Site will be closed on Oct 13.

There will be no changes to the garbage and recycling collection schedule.

BRIGHTON:

Municipal offices will be closed on Oct 13. They will reopen on Tuesday, Oct 14 during regular office hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm.
