By Hailey MacDonald Oct 21, 2025 | 6:00 AM

UPDATE – All power was restored by early Monday night. There are no significant power outages across the Quinte Region on Tuesday morning (as of 6 am). There is one lingering power problem around Bon Echo Provincial Park affecting 142 customers. The area needing repairs is reportedly hard to access. They expect to have everyone there back on the grid by mid-afternoon today (Tuesday).

ORIGINAL STORY FROM MONDAY MORNING – The overnight storm has caused a series of power problems on Monday morning in the northern parts of the Quinte Region

Hydro One posted a message on their Outage Tool page in the early morning hours saying the primary impacts were in Tweed, Picton, Belleville and Bancroft.

There are dozens of smaller outages in Centre and North Hastings on Monday morning.

Two of the largest are each affecting close to 1,700 customers in the Tweed area and around Limerick Lake.

Estimated times of restoration for many sites are in the early afternoon, as crews have fanned out across the region.
