The cause of a fire at a former flea market and eyewear manufacturing facility in Deseronto has been determined to be arson and two youths have been charged in connection with that blaze.
The Waterside Market building on Main Street was fully engulfed in flames prior to Lennox and Addington County OPP arriving on scene Monday around 6 p.m.
The building was deemed a total loss by the Town of Deseronto.
Following an investigation, OPP laid charges against two young people for arson causing damage to property, break and enter and mischief.
Both accused, whose names cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, were released from custody and will appear before the Ontario Youth Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date.
