Mark Friday, October 24th on your calendar and join the Bay of Quinte business community in celebrating the best in local business at the 2025 Quinte Business Achievement Awards. This year, nearly 160 businesses and organizations have been nominated across 15 categories.

Businesses were nominated anonymously by customers, employees, and community members throughout the month of June. Nominations were made in recognition of outstanding business practices, community involvement, and exceptional customer service.

Now that nominations have closed, the spotlight turns to the culminating event of Small Business Week on the Friday evening, following a week filled with free workshops and networking activities open to the whole region’s business community.  The gala will once again be hosted at the National Air Force Museum of Canada in Trenton. Tickets are $130 each and can be purchased online at qbaa.ca.

“I would like to emphasize the value of the Quinte Business Achievement Award program as a local initiative, supported by the municipalities, chambers and community partners within the Bay of Quinte region.” says Jill Raycroft, Committee Chair. “And I say with full confidence to each nominee, the “nomination means a lot” because someone made the effort to acknowledge you, your business and/or your service as part of an exceptional experience they believe deserves to be recognized.”

Winners are selected by a group of impartial business leaders and professionals who carefully review all submissions and select the winners on the merit of their responses; most importantly, the process cannot be influenced by any further campaign on the nominees’ part to purchase or solicit votes to secure the win.

“This event reflects how much the Bay of Quinte community values its local businesses,” says Taetum Roseberry, Awards Program Coordinator. “The gala not only honours their success but also provides an incredible opportunity for networking and celebrating business excellence during Small Business Week in Canada.”

The Quinte Business Achievement Awards are made possible thanks to a joint effort by local municipalities, chambers of commerce, and business support organizations across the Bay of Quinte Region. The program is proudly supported by its generous sponsors, including: Trenval Business Development Corporation, Business Development Bank of Canada, Wilkinson & Company LLP, Belleville Economic Development, City of Quinte West, Municipality of Brighton, The County of Prince Edward, Quinte Economic Development Commission, Allen Insurance Group, Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board, Centre for Workforce Development, Small Business Centre, RBC Royal Bank, Scotiabank, Enbridge Gas, Quinte Broadcasting, Starboard Communications, Lavender Lane Media, Belleville Chamber of Commerce, Quinte West Chamber of Commerce, LaPalm Moving Systems, County Balloons, Zenula Health and Lafferty’s Menswear.
