Belleville Police has found its suspect in a theft incident from back earlier in the summer.

On July 15th, Belleville Police launched an investigation into a reported theft at a north end business.

A male suspect was identified and a warrant was issued for his arrest and after being advised about his warrant, later turned himself in.

40-year old Michael Mowers of Belleville was arrested and charged on Monday with Theft Under $5000 – Shoplifting.

He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in October.

Potential suspects involved in a break and enter early this morning are still at large.

Around 2 a.m., Belleville Police responded to a downtown apartment unit and found two windows to be damaged.

However, police say no entry was gained and no one was inside at the time of the incident.

A investigation into mischief is underway and anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Sly at the Belleville Police Service.
