Stirling’s Apollo Barbell Club has record-breaking bragging rights with one of its weightlifters.
Pamela Warner was one of more than 1,000 athletes from 42 countries that competed in last week’s World Masters Weightlifting competition in Las Vegas.
She set three new Canadian records in snatch, clean and jerk and total categories and won three bronze medals.
That all earned her a spot in next year’s worlds in Athens, Greece.
Warner had won a gold medal last year in the 49K Class’ 45 year age group at the Canadian Masters Weightlifting Championships.
