Frost Advisory issued for Quinte Region

By Hailey MacDonald Sep 19, 2025 | 1:24 PM

A sudden cold snap overnight may cause a few issues in Quinte, though it will warm up again in a big way by the end of the weekend.

A Frost Advisory has been issued for most of the area, with temperatures expected to approach 2 degrees ovenright Friday into Saturday.

Environment Canada says frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.

People are encouraged to cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.

It’s also advisable to take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Saturday is expected to be sunny and fairly mild (high 19), and Sunday will feel more like summer than fall, with a projected high of 26 (under sunny skies).
