Drought continues in Quinte with no rain in forecast this week

By Hailey MacDonald Sep 15, 2025 | 2:41 PM

Drought conditions are unlikely to improve in Quinte this week.

Environment Canada’s forecast is calling for warm days until Friday, with highs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at or above 25 degrees.

It gets cooler for the weekend with highs in the 19-21 range from Friday to Sunday.

However, there is no significant chance for rain (estimated) at any time this week.

Drought conditions have already led to partial or full burn-bans for many local municipalities and advisories from local Conservation Authorities calling for voluntary reductions in water usage.
