Drilling and blasting operations will begin on the Millenium Trail in Wellington starting Monday, September 8.
Drilling and blasting will occur between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday.
Drilling and blasting will allow the contractors to excavate rock and install the new water and sanitary infrastructure at the proper depth.
The operations will take place on the section of trail that is closed between Belleville St and Consecon St.

Drilling and blasting operations are expected to take place over 45 business days. If it’s required beyond that period, the municipality will provide an update to the community.
Three long sirens will be sounded prior to the blast to warn of imminent blast.
These operations are required as part of the Wellington Trunk Watermain and Sanitary Sewer Construction Project.
