Prince Edward County is parting ways with its Fire Chief.
A statement from County CAO Adam Goheen noted that Chad Brown is ‘no longer an employee’ of the municipality.
No details were provided on the reasoning for Brown’s departure, but Goheen thanked Brown for his service and ‘wish him all the best in his future endeavours.’
As a search for a new fire chief begins, Goheen says deputy chief Tim Kraemer is assuming the role in the interim.
Brown spent the bulk of the past four years as County fire chief, officially taking over for the retiring Robert Rutter in December 2021.
