Assault involving weapons charges laid against Belleville teen

An incident involving a knife resulted in the arrest of a Belleville teenager.

Around 5 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Belleville Police responded to a report of an altercation between family members at a west end residence.

During the altercation, a male reportedly had picked up a knife and threatened others before fleeing the scene.

A 17-year old male has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

He was held for a bail hearing.
