Stirling-Rawdon welcomes Shelley Stedall as Chief Administrative Officer

Quinte West councillor Shelley Stedall was appointed to the role of Chief Administrative Officer for Stirling-Rawdon.

She begins her new role on Aug. 26.

Mayor Bob Mullin said Stedall brings a wealth of experience in municipal administration and public service.  She is a seasoned municipal treasurer with over 30 years of experience in rural and small urban municipalities, as well as having served as a senior municipal financial advisor with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH).

“We are pleased to welcome Shelley Stedall to our team as Chief Administrative Officer,” said Mullin.  “Her extensive background in municipal services, leadership in public administration, and dedication to community well-being make her an excellent choice for this role. We are confident that her expertise and vision will help guide Stirling-Rawdon toward continued growth and success.”

Her career in municipal government spans both eastern and western Ontario, working with single and lower-tier municipalities.  Stedall currently serves as Past President of the Municipal Finance Officers’ Association (MFOA), having completed three terms as President and serving on the Board of Directors for over 20 years.

She has also contributed to professional development through her work as a course marker and content contributor for several AMCTO programs, and has delivered numerous seminars and training sessions, including the MFOA/ Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) budgeting workshop series.

Stedall’s extensive background in municipal finance, long-term planning, and community development aligns with the Township’s vision for sustainable and strategic growth. Her experience includes municipal budgeting, safeguarding financial assets, and streamlining administrative processes to improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality public service.

“I’m honoured to take on the role of Chief Administrative Officer for Stirling-Rawdon,” said Stedall. “I look forward to working collaboratively with Council, staff, and the community to strengthen municipal services and support the Township’s continued growth. I bring a deep sense of commitment and enthusiasm to this new chapter and am excited to serve the residents and businesses of Stirling-Rawdon. It’s a privilege to work with a community that demonstrates such pride and strong civic engagement.”
