Large grass fire in Tyendinaga Township

Firefighters with three departments teamed up to fight a grass fire Tuesday afternoon in Tyendinaga Township.

Several acres went up in flames along Blessington Road.between Read and Deseronto Roads.

The fire began after noon, but wasn’t fully put out until around 5 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Residents are reminded that a burn ban still in effect in tyendinaga township and theĀ surrounding areas.
