Westport Road, northwest of Kingston, has reopened following a single-vehicle collision that has left one person deceased.
Shortly after noon on Friday, August 29, 2025, members of the Frontenac Detachment of the OPP, Frontenac County Paramedics and the Central Frontenac Fire and Rescue responded to the collision near Godfrey, on Westport Road, east of Hinchinbrooke Road.
A car had left the roadway and struck a rock cut.
A 70-year-old male, the lone occupant of the car, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation by the Frontenac Detachment is continuing, with assistance from member so the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team.
