By Brock Ormond Aug 29, 2025 | 11:20 AM

A search warrant in Bancroft has resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and the arrest of three people.

Earlier this summer, the OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit began an investigation into drug trafficking in the area.

On Thursday, August 28, officers with the Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by members of the Bancroft Detachment and the OPP Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a residence on Hastings Street.

They seized over 13 grams of suspected fentanyl, over six grams of suspected cocaine and approximately one gram of suspected crystal methamphetamine, as well as items typically associated with drug trafficking.

Kyle Dexter, 37 of Lake St. Peter and Chantel King, 44 of Bancroft, have been charged with:

– Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts
– Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime

Liam MacKay-Reddy, 27 of Highland Grove, has been charged with:

– Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking
– Failing to comply with a probation order – two counts

The accused were all held in custody with bail hearings scheduled for Friday in Belleville.
