After being informed that the driver had taken the exit for Cobourg, a pick-up truck matching the description provided was located by the OPP on Burnham Street.

Upon speaking with the motorist, police entered into an impaired operation investigation.

Paul Bamford, 54, from Brampton, has been charged with:

–      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

In addition to a future court date in September, a further 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 7-day vehicle impound was initiated.
