A man was charged after major disturbances at multiple downtown businesses in Bancroft on the weekend.
Around 3:20 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to reports of a male causing a disturbance at several locations on Hastings Street North and Station Street.
It was reported that the male approached employees while in possession of a pickaxe, made inappropriate comments, and was confrontational with staff and members of the public.
He was also observed yelling at passing vehicles and pedestrians.
Officers discovered he was under two probation orders during their investigation and laid charges.
Jonathan Davis, a 47-year-old with no fixed address, was charged with causing a disturbance and failure to comply with a probation order.
He will be in court at a future date.
