Charges laid after disturbance, threats at healthcare facility in Campbellford

Charges have been laid against a 59-year-old man after threats were reportedly made in Campbellford.

Northumberland OPP stated a disturbance was reported to them after 3:30 p.m. on Monday from a healthcare facility on Oliver Rd.

A person had reportedly been aggressive toward staff at that location, but had already left the scene by the time police arrived.

After obtaining a description of the suspect, officers located the individual in the area of Front Street North and Bridge Street East and took them into custody later in the evening.

Michael Dingman of no fixed address has been charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, uttering threats to damage property and failing to comply with a probation order.

He will have a bail hearing in Cobourg Court.
