Belleville man charged following disturbance involving knife in Bancroft

A Belleville man is facing several charges after an altercation involving a knife in Bancroft.

Bancroft OPP were told of a disturbance around 8:30 a.m. Monday involving a knife and later made an arrest.

Ryan Alexander, 33, from Belleville was charged with two counts each of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused was held for bail on Thursday and remanded into custody.
