An assault charge has been laid against a Belleville man at an apartment complex Tuesday evening.

Belleville Police were called to the west end of the city around 6 p.m. and spoke to a man who reported being punched in the face by another male resident of the building.

Travis Place, 40, was arrested and charged with assault.

He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in October.
