Two youths have been charged after separate shooting incidents in Harrowsmith and Inverary.

On Monday, December 30, 2024, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a black pick-up truck was seen stopping at a residence on Ellerbeck Road in South Frontenac Township. Witnesses reported at least three people were in the vehicle, with at least one of them shooting at the residence. The vehicle fled the scene.

Members of the Frontenac Detachment of the OPPĀ assisted Lennox and Addington County OPP members, responded but were not able to locate the truck.

At approximately 10:15 p.m., the OPP received a call from an individual in Inverary, who reported seeing a black pick-up truck near a residence with someone shooting at the house. Once again, the vehicle fled the scene.

Frontenac OPP members quickly located the vehicle and three individuals were arrested. A search of the vehicle located an air pistol that resembled a restricted handgun.

Two of the youths arrested, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, were charged with possession of imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.

They were released from custody and are set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston at a later date. The third youth was released without charges.
