Belleville man arrested following altercation where victim struck in head by glass object

Belleville Police have arrested a suspect after a reported incident where a man was struck in the head by a glass object in mid March.

On March 31st (Tuesday), Belleville Police received a report regarding an assault that occurred on March 21st.

Investigation revealed that a physical confrontation took place between two males, during which one male reportedly struck the other on the head with a glass object, causing it to shatter.

The injured male attended a local hospital with minor injuries. As a result of investigation, a 23-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:

· Assault with a weapon

· Assault causing bodily harm

· Fail to comply with a probation order X2

He was held for a bail hearing. No name was released.
