PEC child luring investigation results in arrest of Belleville resident

A Belleville resident has been charged in a recent child luring investigation in Prince Edward County.

Officers began an investigation this month after receiving reports of alleged luring and sexual offences.

As a result, Kaitlin Farrell, 32 years old of Belleville, has been charged with sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age, sexual interference and luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication and invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age

Additionally, the accused was charged with supplying vapour product to a minor under the Smoke Free Ontario Act, 2017.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Picton Court at a later date.
